Navigation System
 
Entering a Destination with Navigation System
Destination screen can only be used while the car is not in motion.
 
Address Search
1.    Touch address
2.    You must be in the correct search area—touch CHANGE—choose your search area. Touch corresponding number. Touch OK.
3.    Touch City on the right side of your screen, (you want to give the system a smaller field since the search area has 5-6 states), Input city name.
4.    Touch House—input house number.
5.    Touch Street—input street name.
6.    Your map guide will come up on your screen. It will give you three routes to choose from, or touch guide to recommended map. The system will guide you.
 
(If the screen offers to “ADD TO’ or “REPLACE” destination, touch “REPLACE”, the “ADD TO” will add to your last destination.)
 
POI (Point of Interest) Search---Category
1.          Touch Destination button.
2.          Choose “current position” or “input city center” of where you want to search. Current position will search in the area of the car and inputting the city center allows you to search where you are going.
3.          Choose your category (restaurant, gas station, bank, etc.) Touch OK.
4.          Touch Show List—choose from the list provided. (You can scroll up or down to view the entire list on the left side.) Touch the one you want for the map desired. Once the name and map comes up, an “info” button at the top of the screen will give you a phone number and address.
5.          Touch Replace Destination.
 
POI Name Search
1.          Type in the POINTS OF INTEREST NAME     (example: Statue of Liberty), your choices will appear.
2.          Touch the one you want in the correct state.
3.          Choose your route.
4.          REPLACE DESTINATION.
 
 
 
 
Navigation System
 
Previous Destination Search
1.    Touch PREVIOUS in your Destination screen; this screen will save your last 14 destinations.
2.    Touch the Destination of your choice.
3.    Touch REPLACE DESTINATION.
4.    Touch your Route preference.
 
 
Memory Destination
1.    To save in your Memory, you must register in your Menu setting.
2.    Touch MENU.
3.    Touch MY PLACES.
4.    Touch REGISTER—you can save 106 memory points.
5.    Choose your Region (Touch change to choose region.)
6.    Touch ADDRESS, touch CITY, input City name---touch house#, input—touch street, input. Touch OK.
7.    Touch ENTER.
8.    Touch ICON—choose a picture icon. (You can name your memory or choose QUICK ACCESS 1,2, etc.
9.    To recall Memory, go to DESTINATION SCREEN and touch corresponding number or picture at the bottom of the screen.
 
Emergency Destination
This is the only destination that can be utilized while the car is in motion.
1.    Touch Destination.
2.    Touch EMERGENCY.
3.    Choose your type of emergency—the emergency help will be listed. They will be in the location of the vehicle.
4.    Touch INFO for a phone number and address.
5.    Touch REPLACE for the map guidance.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Navigation System
Voice Commands
 
Your voice commands allow you to use your navigation system while driving. 
The voice command or talk button is located on the right side of your steering wheel. (On the LS models, it is located by your audio volume buttons behind your steering wheel, left side.)
 
1.    Touch map voice button. (You must be in the map voice screen to use voice commands.)
2.    Push the talk button on your steering wheel, wait for the beep and microphone icon to appear on the top left side of your navigation screen.
3.    Once you see the icon, say a command—a list of commands are available by saying “Help” as a command.   A list will appear on your navigation screen. You can also find a list in the back of your quick guide manual.
 
Address Search using Voice Commands
1.    Go to map voice screen
2.    Push the talk button on steering wheel.
3.    Once you see the microphone, say “Address”
4.    The system will prompt you through the search.
 
 
Point of Interest/Category Search using Voice Commands
1.    Go to map voice screen.
2.    Push the talk button.
3.    Once you see the microphone, say the category you are looking for: example, “restaurant”. The navigation screen will show you all the restaurants in the area of your vehicle.
4.    Touch the restaurant icon where you would like to go.
5.    You can check the address and phone number by touching the “info” button at the top of the screen.
6.    Touch guide for your guidance to begin.

Home Link Programming (Non-rolling code)
 
1.    Hold remote 2-3 inches from Home Link Button, batteries facing back seat.
2.    Press and hold both the remote and Home Link buttons for approximately 30 seconds. Once the light flashes fast, release both the buttons.
 
 
Home Link Programming (Rolling code)
 
1.    Do steps 1 and 2 from above directions first.
2.    Go into garage, take off the light cover on garage opener. Find the red or black “train” or “learn” button. Hold down for 2 seconds.
3.    Go back to car, (you have 30 seconds) . Press and hold Home Link button your programmed in Steps 1 and 2. Press 3 times----1 second each. Door should open or close.   If not, repeat the process.
 
 
Memory Seat Settings
 
1.    Car on or in accessory mode.
2.    Set the telescopic wheel, your seat settings, and rear view mirror settings.
3.    Press set button and hold while pressing the number you would like programmed.   You will hear a beep. Release and your memory seat has been set to that number.
 
 
Setting Memory Seat to your Keys
(Available on the Lexus with push button starts)
 
1.    Follow Steps 1,2,3 above.
2.    Close your door.
3.    Turn car off.
4.    Press and hold memory seat number you want programmed to the key, and hold down the lock or unlock button on the key until you hear a beep.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Pairing Bluetooth—All models except LS
 
1.    Car on or in accessory mode.
2.    On Navigation system, touch info button
3.    Touch Telephone.
4.    Touch Settings.
5.    Touch Bluetooth.
6.    Touch Register.   A pass key number will come up.
7.    Find your Bluetooth link on your phone. Each phone is different, refer to your owner’s manual for your link. You can usually find the link in the menu tools setting.
8.    Once you find your link, power on the Bluetooth. (“Find me” or “turn on”)   Next go to “hands free”, then “look for devices”. It will prompt you to “bond with hands free”.
9.    Touch “yes” or “OK”. Enter pass key on your phone when prompted. Phone will be paired.
 
 
LS Model Pairing Phone
 
1.    On Navigation system, touch info button.
2.    Touch phone.
3.    Register new phone, (YES)
4.    Pass key will appear.
5.    Find Bluetooth setting on your phone. (See above instructions or your owner’s manual.)
